Each food service employee must receive food safety training every three years using a Florida DBPR approved program. TruFood Solutions LLC, uses the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals approved training program.

This certificate program is available in a classroom setting and it is instructor lead.  It can be held at the client’s location upon request or at our venue. This class provides food handlers with the knowledge and skills they need to safely prepare, handle, serve, and display food for human consumption. Food handlers will be equipped with knowledge in areas such as:

  • Recognizing how food can cause illness and or life-threatening allergenic reactions
  • Prevention of contamination of food and food contact surfaces
  • Proper use of time and temperature throughout the food supply chain
  • Foodborne illnesses and symptoms food workers are required to report to managers
  • Maintaining clean and sanitized food preparation and food service areas

To be awarded the Certificate of Completion, the candidate must complete all training and pass the 40-question multiple choice assessment with a minimum of 70%.
